Get Rich on Ebay~ (or at least buy some groceries!!)

How much do you make money on eBay?
It's much easier than you think!

I will share a few of my tips and keep in mind, success is what you make of it.

I felt I was successful when I paid off my car payment, in full, with just three months of ebay sales.

Here are my tried and true tricks:

1. Always give great personal customer service.
No excuses.
This speaks for itself.
This is one way I can get an advantage over my competition (and I have lots of it).
All questions should be answered asap, with a "Hi there, thanks for inquiring about xyz".
If they include their name in the message, I address them by name.
My reply ends with "Happy ebaying, and my full name with my eBay store underneath.
Takes a little time but I want them to get to know me as a person which makes a huge difference in trust on ebay.

2. Ship within 48 hours and if possible, within 24 hours.
I like to get stuff I order online asap and so do my customers.
It's very easy to just go buy something from a store, so try not to make them wait.
If you can, send them an email or ebay message telling them it was just shipped.

3 - Give them the opportunity to return to your store...make it easy for them to find you. I include a business card with ALL info that is necessary for them to find or contact me including phone number, email, and website. I include a packing slip with this info as well as a personally signed "Thanks!" along with instructions on leaving feedback.

4. Always, always, always, stand behind your product. Tell them, "if you don't like what you bought, send it back and I'll most likely refund your full amount including ship cost."
I don't advertise this in my store, but if anyone has an issue, I immediately tell them this.
I've had repeat business by doing this.
I do make it clear on the refund that this is not my normal return policy.
I do this on a personal situation basis, and remember, you get more flies with honey then you do with vinegar!

5. Fair shipping cost is sooooo important for buyers to trust you.
Not only does it affect your DSR's, but buyers today do not like to pay shipping to begin with, so keep it as cheap as you can.
Also, many sellers including myself do partial refunds when ship cost paid is quite a bit more than necessary.
Send a little note with paypal and in ebay, they won't forget it!

6. Keep an eye on your competition.
Search completed sales and do what they do that works.
It's not wrong to do this!

7. Be part of an online group.
Ebay has tons of them.
Give support to sellers when they have slow periods, they might refer people to you, it has happened to me!

8. Tell everyone what you do.
Don't let it be a secret, it certainly not shameful.
Most people love to hear about my online endeavors.

9. Always set bigger and better goals.
Always be looking and thinking about what to do next, you can't get ahead without some elbow grease!
